DECA is a one-of-a-kind intercollegiate network with 180,000 students affiliated worldwide. It is an opportunity to connect with students from across North America for the common purpose of case competition and academic enrichment. Students involved in DECA have the opportunity to further study their business interests, meet future co-workers and employers from industry, and broaden their horizons with international travel opportunities.
Members have the opportunity to connect and network with Canada’s top students from DECA’s seventeen – a number which is rapidly increasing - Canadian university chapters. Throughout the year members can participate in the following events:

- Annual DECA U Provinical Conference – held in Toronto
- University of Waterloo In-House Competition
- DEX International Career Development Conference – held in major American cities

DECA U has a mission to foster a platform of opportunity for the business leaders of tomorrow by immersing them into an engaging competitive network of ambitious and passionate students that inspire each others success through conference and competition. We believe that by introducing DECA U to The Telfer School of Management, students will foster confidence, inspiration, leadership, character, attitude and aspiration.
By launching DECA U at the University of Ottawa, we hope to achieve record-breaking new chapter promotion and recruitment. We hope to have our chapter noticed and place in the top five in provincial case competitions. We aim to have a qualifying team for international events, taking place this year in Atlanta, Georgia; next year, Anahiem, California.
DECA U will provide the student body with an enjoyable, enriching experience that is sure to add value to any Bcom degree.
